Meet Dr. Taber
Dr. Douglas J. Taber is a 1998 graduate of New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree through the State University of NY at Fredonia.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Integrative Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Chiropractic Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Spine Physicians, a Fellow of the American Board of Disability Analysts, and a Fellow of the American Back Society.
He is Board Certified in Pain Management, Motor Vehicle Accident Trauma, and Disability Trauma through the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and has achieved Diplomate status with the American Academy of Pain Management, the AAIM College of Physicians, and the American Academy of Spine Physicians.
The doctor is also a Certified Ergonomics Technician, an Exercise Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Chiropractic Sports Injury Specialist, and Certified Chiropractic Sports Medicine Specialist. Through the American Academy of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Taber holds Diplomate status with the College of Acupuncture & Neuromuscular Therapy, the College of Pain Management, and the College of Eastern Medicine.
He is a Post-Graduate Faculty member of New York Chiropractic College and regularly lectures to health care providers and the general public on various health topics. He conducts lectures, presentations and continuing educational seminars to medical and chiropractic organizations, health care providers, hospitals, and clinics. He is Certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia, and is a member of the National Academy of MUA Physicians.
Dr. Taber’s articles have been featured in such national magazines as Chiropractic Wellness & Fitness, Health & Wellness Magazine, The American Chiropractor, and Foot Levelers’ “Secrets of My Success” series. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Chiropractic Products Magazine. The doctor has been featured on various news programs, and regularly contributes to the journal Your Health Monthly. His first book, The Back Pain Solution: Unlocking the Spinal Code, was released in May of 2006 and is available worldwide. In 2009, he released Spinal Decompression & Stabilization Protocol, an evidence-based progressive spinal rehabilitation program for health care providers who provide Spinal Decompression to their patients.
The doctor maintains a private practice as Director of Conservative Care at Comprehensive Spine Care and Orthopedic Surgery in Binghamton, NY, where he specializes in the clinical evaluation and non-surgical, non-invasive treatment of spinal disorders and chronic musculoskeletal pain syndromes.
